The SFP-GE-LX-SM1490/1550 BiDi SFP Module is designed for high-performance long-distance fiber communication over a single strand of single-mode fiber (SMF).

Using bidirectional (BiDi) technology, this module transmits and receives data on different wavelengths (1490nm / 1550nm), allowing you to save fiber cores and reduce infrastructure costs.

It supports Gigabit Ethernet (1.25Gbps) and is equipped with Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) for real-time performance tracking.

How It Works (Important)

BiDi modules use two different wavelengths on one fiber strand, meaning:

This module must be paired with the opposite wavelength SFP

This pairing is required because BiDi SFPs transmit and receive on different wavelengths over the same fiber.
